Cora Monroy

Cora Monroy is a seasoned social work professional currently serving as the Director of Social Work at a nursing home facility since July 2021 and as a START Coordinator at The Arc of Chemung since August 2019. Cora has experience as an MSW Hospice and Palliative Care Intern at Hospice Chautauqua County, where responsibilities included assessing patients' psychosocial needs, developing care plans, and providing supportive counseling. Prior to this, Cora worked as a Community Outreach Coordinator, focusing on educating the community about hospice services. Cora's background includes roles as a Head Lifeguard/Manager, Bereavement Intern, and Election Clerk, demonstrating a diverse skill set. Cora holds a Master’s degree in Clinical/Medical Social Work from Nazareth University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science/Government and Social Work from the State University of New York at Fredonia, along with an Associate's degree in Human Services from Jamestown Community College.
