Damian Sian

Damian Sian is the current Advisor at The Arc of Essex County. Damian has also worked with Optum as an Accessibility Program Manager and with Princeton University as a Senior Web Accessibility Advisor.

Sian has a wealth of experience in managing relationships with product owners and teams, serving as a primary point of contact for accessibility, and leading through support, communication, and collaboration. Damian has also coordinated with product and assessment delivery teams to ensure accessibility assessments are scheduled and completed according to plan.

Sian's work with Princeton University earned him the OIT Tiger and Stripe Awards. As the lead of a program of accessibility, they acted as the primary subject matter expert in building fair and inclusive digital communications to WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards. Damian also developed and implemented outreach and training on principles, tools, and techniques for members of the University community who create or maintain digital communications.

Damian Sian has a MS in Graphic Communication Technology Management from Kean University. Damian also has a Digital Project Management Certification from Mediabistro. Damian's BA is in Graphic Design/Animation from The Evergreen State College. Damian has a Certification from IAAP - International Association of Accessibility Professionals in Accessible Document Specialist (ADS). Damian also has a Certification from W3C in HTML5.0x: HTML5 and CSS Fundamentals. Lastly, they have a Certification from IAAP - International Association of Accessibility Professionals in Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA).
