Gareth Harris is a London-based established freelance journalist with extensive experience in the art world, currently serving as Chief Contributing Editor and previously as Deputy Editor at The Art Newspaper since August 2004. Between 2008 and 2012, Gareth worked as a freelance journalist, contributing articles on museum developments and art market news to notable publications such as the Financial Times, The New York Times, Vogue, Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Times, The Independent, The Independent on Sunday, Apollo Magazine, and Museums Journal. Educationally, Gareth holds a PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London, focusing on a study of simultaneity in the art of Umberto Boccioni and the poetry of Blaise Cendrars, and an MA in Romance Languages/Literatures from University College London.
