The Art Therapy Project
Ellen Meltzer has extensive experience in various roles across organizations focused on health and art therapy. As a Volunteer at The Art Therapy Project since October 2015, Ellen contributes to the mission of using artistic expression for therapeutic purposes. Previously, Ellen served as a Board Member at the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association from June 2010 to June 2016, actively participating in initiatives to promote heart health. For nearly four decades, from June 1977 to May 2015, Ellen held the position of Senior Vice President at MSW.ARS Research, showcasing a long-standing commitment to both leadership and community service. Ellen's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Maryland and an MBA in Marketing from Hofstra University.

The Art Therapy Project
The Art Therapy Project is a nonprofit mental health organization providing free group art therapy to adults and youth affected by trauma. Using the art-making process and with support from our art therapists, clients learn how to explore feelings, increase self-awareness and cope with life's challenges.
