Penny Yang

Penny Yang has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Penny began their career as an External Auditor at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Jaiyos, a prominent certified public accounting firm. Later, they worked as a Quality Assurance Coordinator at Arima Computer (Texas) Corp, where they developed and documented procedures to ensure the quality of products and processes. Following this, they served as an Office Manager at Rental, Inc. dba Chapman & Cole, overseeing administrative tasks and managing financial responsibilities. Penny then joined Gomez & Company as a Senior Associate, specializing in financial statement audits for non-profit organizations and charter schools. Currently, Penny holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at the Asian American Health Coalition dba HOPE Clinic.

Penny Yang earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Assumption University in 1997. Penny later pursued a Master of Science degree in Technology and Industrial Technology from Southwest Texas State University, which they completed in 2001.

Asian American Health Coalition - HOPE Clinic

HOPE Clinic is a non-profit, federally qualified health center (FQHC) with 4 locations in the greater Houston area. Established in 2002, HOPE Clinic provides comprehensive health care services to all regardless of their ability to pay. In particular, HOPE Clinic serves the uninsured, under insured, those with limited English proficiency, and the low-income. A unique characteristic of HOPE Clinic is its capacity to provide services in over 30 different languages, including: Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Korean, Burmese, Arabic, and Spanish. Our mission is to improve the health of residents of Greater Houston in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.
