Joan Burch

In this role, Joan will be responsible for providing financial management which includes monitoring and tracking program expenses as well as developing and administering updated financial management processes based on the program’s workflow and best financial management practices. Joan started with the Aspen Institute in January 2020 as the Operations Manager for the Economic Strategy Group. Before joining the Institute she worked as the Program Coordinator at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and as a Financial Consultant for several small businesses in the area. She holds a BS in Accounting and Finance from Virginia Tech.
