George Lakey

George Lakey has extensive experience in project management and administration, currently serving as a Programme Manager at The Association of Commonwealth Universities since September 2017, with previous roles including Senior Programme Officer, Project Officer, Research Assistant, and Research Intern at the same organization. Prior experience includes contributing to TheBestofAfrica.org and working as a Kitchen Associate at JD Wetherspoon. Additional roles encompass serving as a Golf Course Labourer at The Belfry Hotel & Resort, Conference Administrator at FCS Events, and a volunteer Admin Assistant at Conciliation Resources. George began a career in fundraising with HOME Fundraising Ltd. Educationally, George holds a Master of Science in Politics with reference to Africa from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor of Arts in International Development from the University of East Anglia.
