Brad graduated from Texas A&M University in 1992 with a BBA in accounting and went on to earn an MBA from The Jones School at Rice University. He co-founded Howard Energy Partners (HEP), a diversified midstream company with operations in Texas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Mexico in 2011. He has an extensive background in a wide spectrum of the energy industry. Brad’s senior management and board experience ranges from upstream to midstream and public to private. Prior to co-founding HEP, Brad co-founded Hall-Houston Exploration Partners, LLC, a Gulf of Mexico exploration and production company, where he served as Chief Financial Officer from 2005 to 2011. From 1997 to 2005, he worked in Merrill Lynch’s Global Energy and Power Investment Banking Group. While at Merrill Lynch, Brad worked with a wide range of energy clients primarily focusing on the exploration and production, and midstream sectors of the oil and gas industry. Brad has served on the board of directors of several public companies including Magnum Hunter Resources from 2008 to 2013 and Petro Resources Corporation from 2006 to 2008. He is currently involved with the Trading, Risk and Investments Program and the Petroleum Ventures Program at Texas A&M University and served The Association of Former Students as a Representative at Large prior to being elected to the Board of Directors. Brad and his wife, Melissa ’94, are Endowed Century Club members and have two children: Courtney and Sarah ’24.
