John F. Dickerson

John earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics in 1987 from Texas A&M University, and went on to earn a master’s degree in land economics and real estate in 1989. As a member of the Corps of Cadets, he was commander of the Ross Volunteer Company, which serves as the Honor Guard for the Governor of Texas. John joined Hank Dickerson & Company in 1990 as an associate specializing in land sales. In 1993, he formed Dickerson Development Inc., a successful developer and owner of national build-to-suits, multi-tenant retail centers and residential master planned communities. Dickerson Design Build Inc. was formed in 2015 to provide design, budgeting and construction management for medical ground up and interior finish out construction. John implements his vast experience in the acquisition, development, construction and sale of investment properties into every transaction his companies undertake. Over the years, he has shown his dedication to selfless service in a variety of capacities. He is the current Chairman of the Dallas Goodwill Foundation Board and a past Chair of the Board of Goodwill Industries of Dallas, a Founding Board Member of Highlands Bancshares from 2006-2010 (now Prosperity Bancshares), and previously served as a member of the Texas A&M Foundation’s Real Estate Gift Committee and 12th Man Foundation Champions Council. John served The Association of Former Students as a Representative at Large prior to being elected to the Board of Directors. In 2018, he was asked to join the President’s Board of Visitors for the Corps of Cadets. John and his wife, Melinda, are Endowed Century Club and CEO’s Excellence Fund members and have three children: John ’25, Kayla and Ginger. The family attends First Baptist Church Dallas. He is also a rancher and an avid big game hunter, completing his Grand Slam of North American Sheep in 2015.
