Joel Theroux

Joel Theroux is an accomplished financial and budget analyst currently serving as a Senior Financial/Budget Analyst at the Association of the United States Army since January 2024. Previously, Joel held roles such as Senior Accountant at WBENC and Senior Client Accountant at Smithbucklin, managing complex financial operations for multiple clients. Joel's extensive experience includes responsibilities in accounts payable, closing entries, financial statement preparation, audit support, and software transitions at Library Systems & Services, LLC. Joel began their career as a Staff Accountant at Zukerman & Associates Ltd, where Joel specialized in tax return preparation and client bookkeeping. In addition to professional experience, Joel led outreach initiatives as Executive Chair of the American Marketing Association and coordinated philanthropic activities as Director of Philanthropy for Kappa Sigma at Virginia Tech.
