Anthony Pozar

Superintendent of Schools at THE AUSTIN CENTERS FOR EXCEPTIONAL STUDENTS, INC

Mr. Anthony Pozar joined The ACES team in August 2006. Mr. Pozar started his professional career with The ACES at the Peoria campus as a Junior High School and Jumpstart Vocational teacher. In addition to teaching, he served as the Junior High School Coordinator and Extended School Year Coordinator for 4 years. When The ACES opened the Avondale Campus in 2010, Mr. Anthony Pozar was a clear choice to continue The ACES student success stories by becoming their campus Principal. Currently, Mr. Pozar is servicing as Principal of The ACES Peoria campus. Mr. Anthony Pozar excels at communicating with his students' families, school districts and support systems, while making them feel acknowledged, informed and comfortable with the education they will receive at The ACES.

Before joining The ACES, Mr. Pozar graduated from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. There, he received a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education grades K through 12 and received educational training with experiences in all special education areas including Autism, Mild to Serve Intellectual Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities, as well as other exceptionalities. Since moving to Arizona, Mr. Pozar has converted his out of state certifications to an AZ Cross-Categorical Certificate in K-12 Special Education as well as his Principal Certificate. Mr. Pozar received his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Principalship through Northern Arizona University.
