Michael O’Connor

Michael O’Connor began his teaching career in NSW in 1988. In 1992 he moved to Melbourne where he taught mathematics and science at secondary level until 2013. During that time he was also involved in writing text books, revision lecturing for year 12 students and professional learning of teachers through the MAV. In 2013 Michael began working for AMSI as the Schools Outreach Manager where he has led the outreach team for CHOOSEMATHS. Michael has been an active member of the MAV for over twenty years and since 2016 has served on the board, and since 2019 has been the MAV president.
