Andre Luiten is a distinguished physicist and innovator currently serving as the IPAS Chief Innovator and Director at the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing since August 2014. Luiten also holds the position of Chief Investigator at the ARC Centre of Excellence in Optical Microcombs for Breakthrough Science, starting in January 2024, and serves as Managing Director at QuantX Labs. Recognized as the 2022 South Australian Innovator of the Year, Luiten is a Fellow of both the Australian Academy of Technology & Engineering and The Australian Institute of Physics. Additionally, Luiten is the Chair of Experimental Physics and Adjunct Professor at the University of Adelaide. Previous roles include Future Fellow at the Australian Research Council and Winthrop Professor at the University of Western Australia. Luiten's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Physics from The University of Western Australia, complemented by a GAICD certification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
