Yang Zhang

Yang Zhang is a distinguished academic and industry leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and technology development. Currently serving as a Visiting Professor at Macau University of Science and Technology since August 2023, Yang founded and has been the CEO of AutoCore.ai since April 2018. Additionally, Yang co-founded The Autoware Foundation, which promotes open source projects for self-driving technology. Past roles include Chief Scientist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences AIRIA, Distinguished Professor in AI at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Director at 96Boards, and Principal Technical Program Director at NVIDIA. Yang's educational background includes a PhD from The University of Sheffield in multiobjective genetic programming, an MSc in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China, and a B.Eng. in Applied Physics from the University of National South-Central.
