Roderick Wilson

Roderick Wilson is an accomplished technology leader currently serving as the AVA Group CTO and General Manager of GJD Manufacturing Ltd since June 2023. Previously, Roderick held the positions of General Manager (UK) & CTO and VP of Products and Technology at Metrasens from January 2019 to May 2023. Roderick's career also includes roles as Director of Engineering at Gulmay L.T.D. from October 2016 to June 2020, and Director of Technology and Engineering at Trolex Ltd from June 2014 to June 2016, where Roderick successfully restructured the engineering department and enhanced team morale. Roderick's long tenure at Smiths Detection spanned from July 1993 to May 2014, culminating in the role of VP of Products, where responsibilities included defining product vision and implementing key product development processes. Roderick holds a Ph.D. in Physics from The University of Manchester, which was pursued from 1982 to 1991.
