Frankie Tontoh

Frankie Tontoh is an accomplished drummer and musical director with extensive experience in various musical settings. Tontoh has been a member of the Funk/Soul band Brother Strut since June 2012 and currently performs as a drummer in the play "Lady Day At Emerson's Bar & Grill," which portrays the life of Billie Holiday. As an endorser for Avedis Zildjian Company and Sakae Rhythm, Tontoh supports high-quality drum manufacturers. Other notable roles include drumming for Ronni Scott's Blues Explosion, touring and recording with Jack Bruce & The Big Blues Band, and providing over 30 years of experience as a drummer and musical director across different ensembles. Tontoh's academic contributions include senior lecturer positions at the Academy of Contemporary Music and guest lecturer roles at various institutions. Tontoh's educational background includes a GED in Performance from Musicians Institute College in Los Angeles.
