Karen Yeung

Karen Yeung has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Karen is currently working as a Finance Administrator at The Baca Charity since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Accountant at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from September 2019 to February 2022.

Before joining The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Karen was employed as a Sr. Accountant at Gilead Sciences from June 2018 to August 2019. In this role, they reported to the Senior Finance Manager in the RTR team of the Hong Kong Finance Shared Services. Karen ensured compliance with US GAAP and statutory requirements by working closely with the local Finance team and external service providers in China. Karen also played a role in process improvements, internal control enhancement, and provided training on Finance systems to the China Finance Team. Karen assisted in the implementation of the Oracle AP module in China ledger.

Prior to their time at Gilead Sciences, Karen worked as an Accounting Manager at Atmel Corporation from January 2013 to August 2017. Karen also served as a Senior Accountant at Abbott from June 2012 to January 2013.

Karen's early career started at National Semiconductor, where they worked as an Accountant in Financial Accounting from June 2003 to December 2011.
