Meghan Hamilton is an experienced fundraising and communications professional with a background in individual giving and social media management. Currently serving as the Individual Giving Coordinator at The Bail Project since December 2021, Meghan previously held the position of Individual Giving Specialist at Rewire News Group from November 2018 to December 2021. Prior to that, Meghan worked at the American Humanist Association in various roles including Social Media Manager, Events Coordinator, and Development and Communications Associate from June 2012 to May 2018. Meghan holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Maryland and completed additional training at General Assembly in 2019.

The Bail Project
The Bail Project is a non-profit organization designed to combat mass incarceration by disrupting the money bail system ‒ one person at a time.They believe that paying bail for someone in need is an act of resistance against a system that criminalizes race and poverty and an act of solidarity with local communities and movements fordecarceration. Over the next five years, The Bail Project will open dozens of sites in high-need jurisdictions with the goal of paying bail for tens of thousands of low-income people.They won’t stop until meaningful change is achieved and the presumption of innocence is no longer for sale.
