Margit Weisgal

Margit Weisgal is an experienced professional in writing, education, and event management. As a Contributing Writer for the Baltimore Sun since August 2012, Margit focuses on topics relevant to Baby Boomers in the Prime Time 55+ Living section. With an extensive background in academia, Margit served as a Senior Adjunct Professor at the University of Baltimore from 1997 to 2008 and again from 2016 to 2020, teaching various marketing courses and engaging with students. Additionally, Margit held the position of Managing Director at DARE 2017, overseeing a high-level event, and was the President/CEO of the Trade Show Exhibitors Association from 2008 to 2012. Margit's expertise in trade show education and consulting was further developed as Principal of Sextant Communications from 1990 to 2011. Margit holds an MS in International Hospitality Management from Baltimore International College and a BA in Broadcasting from the University of Maryland.
