Dwight Bateman is an experienced banking professional with a strong background in credit operations and commercial lending. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Commercial Credit Operations at The Bancorp since June 2017, Dwight oversees credit eligibility and processes for the Small Business Lending Division. Prior to this role, Dwight was Regional President at Simmons Bank from 2012 to June 2017, managing Government Guaranteed (SBA & USDA B&I) origination, processing, servicing, and liquidation across a multi-state area. Dwight's career in banking began at Community South Bank, where serving as EVP and Credit Administration Manager from 2003 to April 2012 allowed for the development of extensive expertise in credit administration.
