Priscilla Shanks is a trustee at The Barrow Group and a former public speaking instructor. Priscilla has also worked for ABC, PBS Newshour, CBS, Politico, CNN, ESPN,Politico, Univision, and the BBC.
Shanks began their career as an instructor at the New School for Social Research, where they created and taught a public speaking course called "Speak for Your Self." The course was designed to help students learn how to structure their content and create a conversation with their listeners, rather than simply giving a speech.
After several years at the New School, Shanks left to pursue a career in broadcasting. Priscilla has worked for some of the biggest names in news, including ABC News, CBS, CNN, and ESPN. In recent years, they have also worked as a Trustee at The Barrow Group.
Priscilla Shanks has a B.A. with Honors in Speech and Rhetoric from Occidental College. Priscilla also has a post-graduate degree in Conservatory Training from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco where they studied acting, voice, speech, fencing, scansion, yoga and mini-breakdowns.
