Paul Rose

Ambassador. Communications. Journalist. Presenter. at The Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions

Paul Rose is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in exploration and communication within the environmental and scientific sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Expeditions for National Geographic Pristine Seas since 2014, Paul also contributes as a Guest Speaker and Presenter for IUCN. Paul has been a Presenter for BBC's Science and Factual Programs since 2004 and has provided consultancy services for Impact since 1989. Additionally, Paul plays a role in the ROLEX Awards Jury and Selection process and serves as an Ambassador, Communications Specialist, and Journalist for the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Convention Secretariat since 2019. Paul previously held leadership positions as Vice President of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) and Base Commander at the British Antarctic Survey from 1992 to 2002.
