Christina Velasco, LMFT, has extensive experience in psychotherapy and counseling, currently operating a private practice since January 2019, specializing in relationships, anxiety, and trauma healing for adults, adolescents, and families. In addition to the private practice, Christina serves as a Mental Health Counselor and Health and Wellness Educator at The Bay School of San Francisco since August 2019. Christina previously worked at Huckleberry Youth Programs from January 2016 to August 2019, providing therapy and crisis intervention for youth and families. Earlier roles include a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate at Unihealth and a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at La Casa de las Madres, where Christina focused on domestic violence survivors. Christina's foundation in mental health began with volunteer work at Rape Trauma Services, providing counseling for sexual abuse survivors. Christina holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Expressive Arts Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from San Diego State University.
