Rebekah Austin

Rebekah Austin is a Graduate Student Instructor in the School of Education at the University of California, Berkeley, collaborating with distinguished researcher Glynda Hull. Rebekah holds a Ph.D. in Language and Literacy and has extensive experience as a Learning Specialist, advocating for students with learning differences and consulting on IEPs across various school districts. Previous roles include Special Education Educator at New Kent Middle School, Journalist and Editor covering Education and Policy for Utah Business and VoterFeed, and 2nd Grade Teacher at Peas in a Pod Homeschooling. Rebekah also founded Inspire.Me, a fintech curriculum program, and has professional experience in cataloging and appraising rare books and art. Rebekah's educational background includes a Master of Science in Education from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor's degree from the same institution, complemented by international studies at the University of Oxford and Beijing Foreign Studies University.
