The Bee Conservancy
Ian Sklarsky is a creative professional with diverse experiences in the arts and environmental sustainability. Currently serving as a Beekeeper at The Mercer Hotel since January 2022, Ian oversees the maintenance of rooftop bee hives. As an Artist at Sklarsky Smith LLC Co., Ian has established a gallery in Puerto Vallarta that showcases personal works and supports local and international artists. Ian's freelance work as a Creative Director and Illustrator spans multiple mediums, including live blind contour drawing, murals, and AR/VR. Additional roles include serving as a Buzz Advisor for The Honeybee Conservancy, Resident Artist at The Bernic Hotel NYC, and Pollinate Advisor for Pollinate in the Park. Previous experience includes art creation at YOTEL and videography for the Chicago International Film Festival. Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Documentary Filmmaking from Columbia College Chicago.
