Shankar Gupta-Harrison

Shankar Gupta-Harrison has extensive experience in various roles and industries. Shankar is currently the CMO at The Believer Company since February 2022. Previously, they worked at Edelman as the EVP of Strategy from September 2020 to October 2021. Prior to that, they co-founded Ministry of Hijinks, an indie game studio, where they served as the Co-founder and CCO from July 2019 to January 2021.

In their role at Riot Games, Shankar held multiple positions including Senior Publishing Advisor from July 2019 to November 2020, Narrative Design, R&D from July 2018 to July 2019, and Brand Director - Legends of Runeterra from March 2018 to July 2019. Shankar joined Riot Games as a Senior Brand Manager in February 2016.

Before Riot Games, Shankar worked at 360i as the Vice President of Strategy from March 2007 to January 2016. Shankar oversaw the strategy department and worked with various Fortune 500 brands. Prior to that, they wrote a bi-weekly column about the business of video games as the Gaming Insider at Mediapost Communications from August 2006 to November 2011. Shankar also worked as a Reporter at Mediapost Communications from December 2004 to March 2007.

Shankar's early career includes working as a Freelancer at The New York Sun where they covered the crime desk and published numerous articles from June 2004 to December 2004. Overall, they have a diverse background in marketing, strategy, game development, and journalism.

Shankar Gupta-Harrison attended New York University from 2000 to 2004 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Economics.
