Jennifer has over 30 years of public sector Human Resources experience. During that time, she held the role of Human Resources Director for the City of Harrisonburg and served in multiple human resources roles with James Madison University, including serving as an assistant to the University President. She is a past President of the Executive Committee for the Virginia Chapter of IPMA-HR (International Public Management Association-Human Resources) and served in other volunteer leadership roles for Virginia IPMA and the Shenandoah Valley Chapter of SHRM and continues to support and serve on local non-profit executive boards. She holds senior professional HR certifications in both IPMA and SHRM.
Her HR roles have included leadership and administration, employee training and development, management of recruitment, selection and promotional processes, conflict resolution, compensation and classification, performance appraisal and pay for performance systems, employee relations, rewards and recognition, policies and procedures, conference planning, and educational development. Jennifer earned a B.A. degree in Behavioral Science with certification in Social work from Erskine College.
