Catherine Parsons

Catherine Parsons is the Managing Director of The Big Issue since September 2023, bringing extensive experience in operational leadership within the homelessness sector. Prior to this role, Catherine served as the Director of Operations at Thames Reach from July 2016 to September 2023, where responsibilities included business development, service delivery for local authorities, and overseeing key performance indicators. Catherine also held positions as Area Director at Thames Reach, focusing on floating services and outreach for entrenched rough-sleepers, and Employment Services Manager at Crisis, managing employment services for vulnerable populations. Earlier career experiences include Operational Support Manager at Thames Reach and Foyer management at East Potential, overseeing supported housing for young people. Catherine holds a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Cambridge and a Post Graduate Certificate in Housing and Homelessness Leadership from London South Bank University.
