Mitch Gaines

Mitch Gaines is an Embedded Software Engineer at The Boring Company since February 2024. Previously, Mitch co-founded and served as an engineer at Farmblox from May 2021 to February 2024 and worked as a Software Engineer at Embue until September 2023. Earlier experience includes a role as a Robotics Support Engineer at Locus Robotics from July 2020 to May 2021, and internships in software engineering at Symbotic and Corista from May 2019 to August 2019 and May 2017 to December 2018, respectively. Mitch holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, obtained in 2020, and is credited with a patent for the Virtual Slide Stage (VSS) Method for Viewing Whole Slide Images (Patent No. US 15/730,296).
