Shawn McGraw

Shawn McGraw has extensive experience in the tunneling and engineering industry, currently serving as TBM Manager at The Boring Company since January 2018, overseeing TBM operations and mechanical and electrical systems. Previously, Shawn worked as a consultant for SpaceX, specializing in tunnel boring machines, and held various roles at Caterpillar Inc. from 2009 to 2016, including Commissioning Project Manager and Quality Manager, where responsibilities encompassed leading quality assurance processes for TBMs and ensuring compliance with client specifications. Shawn’s early career includes significant contributions at Caterpillar Tunneling Canada Corporation, excelling as a Site Commissioning Representative and Senior Electrical Designer, providing high-level troubleshooting and overseeing the design and implementation of electrical control systems for TBMs. Shawn holds two diplomas in Electronics Engineering Technology from the RCC Institute of Technology, both achieved with honors.
