Gareth Ross has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Gareth is currently a Co-Founder at The Boundary since 2023. Prior to this, they were the CEO & Founder of Buildmedia, a role they held since April 2011. In this position, Gareth managed a team of highly creative 3D artists, designers, and motion graphic artists, with a focus on visualizing the unbuilt future using innovative technologies. Before founding Buildmedia, Gareth was a Creative Director at the same company from September 2003 to March 2011.
Earlier in their career, Gareth worked as a 3D Artist & System Support at Cadimage Group from January 2000 to January 2005. Gareth also served as a Visual Communications Senior Lecturer at Unitec Institute of Technology from June 2002 to November 2003.
Gareth's earliest role was as a Project Architect at Deighton Gibbs Architects, where they worked from an unspecified start date in 1996 until 2000. With their extensive experience in various roles, Gareth brings a wealth of expertise and creative vision to their work.
Gareth Ross completed their education in the field of architecture with a strong focus on architectural drafting and CAD/CADD. Gareth began their academic journey in 1987 at Unitec | Te Pūkenga, where they pursued a degree in NZCAD. This program offered him a comprehensive understanding of architectural drafting and CAD, which laid the foundation for their future architectural career. Gareth's dedication towards expanding their knowledge led him to join The University of Auckland in 1993. Here, they obtained a BArch (hons) degree, specializing in architecture. This four-year program further enhanced their skills and expertise in the field. Gareth's educational background reflects their commitment to advancing in architecture, equipping him with a solid foundation and knowledge to excel in their career.
