Kelly Fanning

VP, Ambulatory Services & Patient Experience at The Brigham And Women's Hospital, Inc.

Kelly Fanning, MBA, serves as vice president of Ambulatory Services and Patient Experience, a role she assumed in May 2020.

Fanning oversees Ambulatory Services, working closely with senior leaders on the strategic planning for ambulatory programs. In partnership with the vice president of Regional Ambulatory Operations, associate chief medical officers and associate chief nurses, Fanning collaborates with administrators, medical directors, clinicians and staff across Ambulatory Services to advance operations for the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Prior to this role, Fanning served as executive director of Ambulatory Services at Brigham Health, beginning in 2018. In that role, she established a broad ambulatory strategy and team that supported over 150 ambulatory practices in ambulatory access, quality and safety, and operations.

Fanning joined the Brigham in 2014 as executive director of Population Health Management & Care Innovation at the Brigham and Women's Physicians Organization (BWPO). During her nearly five years in this role, Fanning partnered with the chief medical officer and associate medical directors to develop and execute BWPO's strategy to deliver efficient and high-quality care with a specific focus on launching, monitoring and delivering value-based care initiatives.

Before joining the Brigham, Fanning spent the eight years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA), leading work related to operationalizing BCBSMA Alternative Quality Contract, a risk-based contract for Medicaid Account Care Organizations and developing limited/select provider networks.

Fanning holds a master’s in business administration from Simmons College School of Management and a bachelor’s degree from Colby College.
