James Lancaster is a senior regulatory lawyer currently employed at the British Horseracing Authority since November 2022 and also serves as the Independent Chair of the Classification Technical Expert Group for ParalympicsGB. Previously, James held the position of Classification Compliance Senior Manager at the International Paralympic Committee from December 2020 to November 2022 and contributed to the Athletics Integrity Unit at World Athletics in August 2020. James's extensive legal experience includes partnership at Lancasters Solicitors Chiswick and adjudicating financial disputes at the Financial Ombudsman Service. Academic qualifications include an MA in Sports Ethics and Integrity through an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree and a degree in Sports Governance from The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland.
