The British Museum
Kate Coghlan currently serves as the Head of 3D Design at The British Museum and a Design Fellow in the Department of Architecture at the University of Cambridge, both positions held since September 2025. Prior to these roles, Kate was a Senior Associate at Nissen Richards Studio from September 2017, leading various award-winning exhibition projects for cultural institutions. Experience includes positions as Associate Architect & Exhibition Designer and Senior Architect & Exhibition Designer, alongside academic roles such as RIBA Studio Personal Academic Tutor at Oxford Brookes University and Associate Lecturer at London Metropolitan University. Earlier professional experience includes architectural roles at Bennetts Associates and Historic Environment Scotland, and an educational background featuring degrees from Edinburgh College of Art, Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville, and London Metropolitan University.
