Miranda Wiseman

Miranda Wiseman is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Head of News at The British Museum since January 2023. Previously, Miranda held the position of Head of Strategic Communications for the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, where responsibilities included leading communications for significant policy areas and delivering strategies for initiatives such as the National Windrush Monument and the Hong Kong BN(O) visa programme. Prior roles include Chief Press Officer at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and the BBC Trust, where Miranda developed and executed high-profile communications strategies, managed press teams, and provided media advice to senior officials. Miranda's career began with a focus on archaeology, holding academic degrees from UCL and The University of Manchester.
