Nora Yamada is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Assistant Head for Development, Partnerships & Alumni, as well as the Director of External Relations and Head of Sixth Form at The British School in Tokyo since August 2012. In these roles, Nora oversees the university application process, monitors the academic performance and pastoral care of sixth-form students, and leads initiatives related to Higher Education. Previously, from September 2007 to July 2012, Nora was the Lead Teacher for Gifted and Talented at Sacred Heart School in Camberwell, London, where responsibilities included academic monitoring and event programming to inspire student aspirations. Nora holds two Master’s degrees in Japanese Language and Literature from Keio University and SOAS University of London, along with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Birmingham.
