Christa Alexander

Christa Alexander is a legal professional currently serving as a Staff Attorney at The Bronx Defenders since September 2025. Prior to this role, Christa held the position of Foderaro Post-Conviction Litigation Fellow at the Innocence Project from September 2023 to September 2025. Additional experience includes a Legal Internship at the Federal Defenders of Missouri - Capital Habeas Unit in March 2023, serving as a Student Attorney in the Defense and Advocacy Clinic at St. John's University School of Law from August to December 2022, and various internships at organizations such as Appellate Advocates, New York County Defender Services, and The Legal Aid Society. Christa also contributed as a Program Analyst and NYC Urban Fellow at the NYC Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice from September 2018 to August 2020, and completed a Congressional Internship with the U.S. House of Representatives in June 2018. Christa holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from St. John's University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government, Sociology from Binghamton University.
