David Marrero

David Marrero is a dedicated social work professional currently serving as a Social Work Intern at The Bronx Defenders since September 2023. Prior experience includes working as an Intake Counselor at The Door - A Center of Alternatives from August 2022 to May 2023, and as an Academic Counselor at Fairfield College Preparatory School during the 2021-2022 academic year. David's leadership skills were further demonstrated in a role as Resident Assistant at Fairfield University and as Vice President of the Distinguished Gentlemen organization, where responsibilities included facilitating discussions on social justice, coordinating events on domestic violence awareness, and managing a mentoring program. Early experience as a Group Leader at Camp Ramaquois involved supervising children and leading activities. David holds a Master of Social Work from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fairfield University.
