Ella Nalepka

Law Graduate, Civil Action Practice at The Bronx Defenders

Ella Nalepka (she/her/hers) received her J.D. from CUNY School of Law. While at CUNY, she was a student attorney with the Creating Law Enforcement Accountability & Responsibility (CLEAR) clinic, where she worked with individuals targeted by the surveillance state under the guise of national security. During law school, Ella also had the opportunity to intern with Brooklyn Defender Service’s Civil Justice Unit and Employment Unit, Legal Aid Society’s Homeless Rights Project, and CASA de Maryland, where she was a Peggy Browning Fellow. Prior to law school, Ella worked for six years as an ESOL teacher in Colombia, Morocco, and Palestine. Ella holds a B.A. in Middle East Studies from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She speaks Spanish fluently and is comfortable conversing in Levantine Arabic and French.
