Katherine Azcona

Katherine Azcona, Esq. is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in family defense and immigration law. Currently serving as a Staff Attorney at The Bronx Defenders since September 2019, Katherine specializes in Family Defense Practice. Prior experience includes roles as a Student Attorney in multiple capacities at the City University of New York School of Law, where representation involved immigration proceedings and law enforcement accountability from January 2017 to May 2019. Additional legal internships at Brooklyn Defender Services, Catholic Charities Community Services, and the Mississippi Worker’s Center for Human Rights further developed Katherine's expertise in social justice and human rights issues. Katherine holds a Juris Doctor degree from the City University of New York School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Human Rights from John Jay College.
