Rosa Cohen-Cruz

Rosa Cohen-Cruz is an experienced legal professional specializing in immigration law, currently serving as the Director of Immigration Policy at The Bronx Defenders since July 2016. Prior roles include Policy Counsel and Supervising Immigration Attorney at the same organization, as well as Senior Immigration Attorney at Prisoners' Legal Services of New York, where responsibilities encompassed supervision and training of attorneys. Rosa has extensive experience managing legal programs for incarcerated immigrants, providing civil legal services, and advocating for the rights of marginalized communities through various internships and fellowships, including significant stints at the Legal Aid Society and the Center for Constitutional Rights. Rosa holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School and a BA in Sociology and African American Studies from Wesleyan University.
