The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health
Liana Sandell, LICSW, serves as an Outpatient Clinical Fellow at The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health since August 2021. Previously, Liana worked as a Clinical Social Worker on a per diem basis at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center from August 2020 to August 2022. Liana gained valuable experience as a Clinical Social Work Intern with the Center for Violence Prevention and Recovery and OBGYN while also serving as a Private Family Caretaker. Liana's academic background includes a Master's degree in Social Work from Boston College School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Prior roles included positions as a Graduate Assistant focused on equity and inclusion, a Clinical Social Work Intern at the Department of Children & Families, and a Crisis Counselor for Crisis Text Line. Additionally, Liana contributed as a Research Assistant at the UCONN Child Language Lab, aiding in data collection and analysis related to autism spectrum disorder and language development.
