He has worked for the Houston Chronicle and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

As the president and publisher of the San Antonio Business Journal, a subsidiary of American City Business Journals. Jimmy stokes the fires that create big impact results, all in support of the mission to help customers grow their businesses, advance their careers and simplify their professional lives. He is the link between the South Texas business community and news intelligence and business development.

For more than six years, Jimmy has led operations that include the weekly publication of a newspaper, the daily publications on the company’s website and a slate of events that honor and recognize San Antonio’s brightest business minds, philanthropic efforts and innovation. He sets the pace, strategy and goals for editorial, advertising, circulation, marketing, production and finance – all within the framework of a team-oriented workplace culture that nurtures rising stars and challenges the status quo.

He has the competitive drive and determination to succeed and his expertise lies in sales and strategic development, bringing together the right people at the table to maximize business opportunities.

He serves on San Antonio’s United Way board, the development board for the H-E-B School of Business and Administration at the University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio Sports, has also served on the Clarity Child Guidance Center board and is a member of a Vistage’s CEO group in San Antonio. He’s the proud husband to his wife Carley and a father to their three children, a homegrown Texan who is loyal to the purple and white of Texas Christian University. His No. 1 love is his family followed closely by golf and fishing.
