Dave Cowen

Dave Cowen serves as the Director of YYJ Victoria International Airport operated by Victoria Airport Authority since September 2021 and has been the Chief Executive Officer at The Butchart Gardens since May 2007. Cowen has also held significant positions in various organizations, including Immediate Past President of Gardens British Columbia, Tourism Co-Chair for the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region, and Past Chair of Tourism Victoria. From January 2010 to December 2020, Cowen was the Past Board Chair of the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority. Additionally, Cowen has experience with the Saanich Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, Victoria-Esquimalt Harbour Society, and the BC Council of Tourism Associations. Educational credentials include completion of the Institute of Corporate Directors Not For Profit Essentials in Corporate Governance at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
