Aura Pon

Aura Pon is a professional musician with extensive experience as a composer, oboist, and computer musician. Since 1999, Aura has been self-employed, showcasing musical talents and creativity. In January 2018, Aura co-founded Sintonia, an arts organization dedicated to merging music and mindfulness through public events. Aura serves as an additional oboist for the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and the principal oboist for the Symphony of the Kootenays, while continuing to compose music. With a robust academic background from the University of Calgary, including a Ph.D. in Music and Computational Media Design, Aura also holds roles as a Naval Warfare Officer in the Canadian Naval Reserve, researcher, and has previously operated Quintessence Winds.
