Sabina Voysey has been appointed the new Director General of The Camping and Caravanning Club.
She will become the first woman to hold the position when she takes over from Robert Louden MBE, who announced recently that he will retire later this year after nearly 25 years at the Club, including 12 years as Director General.
Sabina joined the Club in 2002 as Finance Manager and became Finance Director eight years later. She took on responsibility for Human Resources at the Club in 2013, and in 2017 was appointed Deputy Director General.
The Club’s Chairman, Bob Talbot, said: “The Executive Committee is delighted to have appointed Sabina as our next Director General to build on Robert’s strong legacy of growth and development, which has seen membership grow threefold during his tenure. We wish Sabina every success in her new role.”
Sabina is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and gained her Master in Business Administration degree from Oxford Brookes University in 2012.
Away from work Sabina enjoys country walking, exploring the UK with her family and spending time with them in the outdoors.
Sabina said: “I’m very proud and excited that I will be succeeding Robert as The Camping and Caravanning Club’s next Director General when he retires. I’m looking forward to working closely with our dedicated staff and voluntary officers as we embark upon the next exciting chapter in the Club’s long history.”
Over the coming months Robert will work closely with Sabina to ensure a smooth transition before his retirement.
