Johan Engelbrecht

Johan Engelbrecht is an experienced legal professional specializing in commercial and corporate law. Currently serving as an Advocate at the Cape Bar since December 2014, Johan's practice includes a wide range of areas such as contract disputes, corporate disputes, insolvency, and intellectual property law. Previously, Johan worked as a Corporate Finance Solicitor at Addleshaw Goddard in London and served as a Corporate Solicitor in the mergers and acquisitions department at O'Melveny & Myers LLP. Early career experience includes a role as a Commercial Litigation Attorney at ENSafrica, one of Africa’s leading law firms. Johan holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Laws in Tax Law from the University of Cape Town and an IBA Postgraduate Certificate from The University of Law in London, along with LL.M and LL.B degrees in law and a B.Comm in Law from Stellenbosch University.
