Sarah Shields

Sarah Shields currently serves as the Curriculum Coordinator at The Carey School since August 2023. Previously, Sarah held the position of Lower School Faculty Coach and Leader of the Associate Teacher Program at The Hamlin School from August 2021 to July 2023. Sarah's experience as a University Supervisor at the Bay Area Teacher Training Institute and as a Lower School Distance Learning Coordinator at The Hamlin School further showcases a strong background in educational leadership. Additionally, Sarah operated as an Educational Consultant through Sarah Shields Consulting from July 2019 to June 2021. Prior teaching roles include 3rd Grade Teacher at Marin Country Day School and 4th Grade Teacher at Newton Public Schools, among others. Sarah Shields earned a Master of Education in Elementary Education and Teaching from Lesley University and Shady Hill School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Spanish, and International Studies from Binghamton University.
