Walter Avis

Walter Avis is a seasoned human resources professional with extensive experience in various HR roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Recruiting Coordinator at The Carmelite System, Inc. since February 2016, Walter is responsible for implementing and managing an Applicant Tracking System while overseeing a continuous rotation of job openings for 11 nursing homes nationwide. Previously, Walter held the position of Director of Human Resources, providing senior consulting on HR systems and employee benefits. Walter's career also includes serving as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Acadia HR and managing critical correspondence systems at the National Security Council under President George H. W. Bush. Walter holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Hope College.
