Valerie Alonzo, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA has a diverse range of work experience in the field of behavioral health and education. Valerie began their career at Paxton Campus in 2015 as an Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist. From there, they moved on to Alternative Paths Training School in 2016, where they served as a Special Education Teacher. In 2017, Valerie joined George Mason University as a Mason LIFE Instructor and also started working at Optimal Beginnings, LLC as a Registered Behavior Technician. Valerie later transitioned to the role of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Optimal Beginnings, LLC. Currently, they are working at Kind Behavioral Health as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has held various roles within the company, including Interim Clinic Director and Senior BCBA.

Valerie Alonzo, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA completed their Master of Special Education (M.Ed.) with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis at George Mason University from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Exceptional Ed from James Madison University between 2011 and 2015. Additionally, Valerie holds certifications as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) since November 2018 and as a Licensed Behavior Analyst from the North Carolina Behavior Analyst Licensure Board since August 2023. Valerie is also Dare to Lead Trained from Dare to Lead™ Trained.
